$959,500 Class Action and PAGA Settlement Granted Final Approval in Ramirez v. Kuldeep Singh Mand

On January 23, 2026, the El Dorado County Superior Court granted final approval of a $959,500 class and representative (“PAGA”) action settlement in Ramirez, et al. v. Kuldeep Singh Mand (Case No. 23CV0691).

The settlement is on behalf of approximately 72 current and former hourly, non-exempt employees who worked for Kuldeep Singh Mand in California, at any time from May 5, 2019 through October 31, 2025.

The lawsuit alleges violations of California wage-and-hour law, including failure to pay all wages and overtime, failure to provide compliant meal and rest breaks or pay premiums, failure to provide accurate wage statements and timely final wages, failure to reimburse necessary business expenses, unfair competition, and civil penalties under the Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”). Defendant denies Plaintiffs’ allegations and denies they did anything wrong.
